21 police officers trained on Post Blast Crime Scenes and Improvised Explosive Devices

One year after the first one-week training on Post Blast Crime Scenes and Improvised Explosive Devices, on the request of Deputy General Director Mr. Çako, PAMECA IV organized a second training on the same topic, from the 30th of March – 3rd of April 2015.
The training was delivered by the French Expert Mr. Bruno Bergeron who has 36 years of experience as Explosives’ Expert both with the French Army and the Ministry of Interior. Currently, Mr. Bergeron holds the position of Bomb Squad Leader at the Forensic Science Laboratory of Paris.
The majority of training participants were from the newly created Directorate of Anti-Terrorism, but there were also participants from the RENEA Unit and also from the Forensic Police.
The training focused on theories related to types explosives used for bomb attacks, types of improvised explosive devices, management of post blast scenes, collection of evidence and also practical exercises.
During one of the training days, the French expert made different real explosions showing different criminal situations and the practical ways how to approach them. At the end of the training week, certificates of attendance were distributed by the Director of the Center for Police Education and PAMECA OC LTE.
