The 2nd Stakeholders Committee Meeting (SCM) of PAMECA V took place at the premises of the Security Police Academy, on 29 March 2018. This meeting aimed at presenting the achievements of the first semester of project`s implementation from August 2017 to January 2018 and eventually the second work plan of activities covering February – July 2018. The event gathered high level officials from the EUD and beneficiaries from whom Mr Stephen Stork, Head of Operations Section 1, EUD, Ms Rovena Voda, Deputy Minister of Interior, Mr Eduart Merkaj, Director of Criminal Police within Albanian State Police, Mr Kosta Beluri, Prosecutor at the General Prosecution Office, etc.
The Team Leader Mr D`Achille, made a throughout presentation of the results of the six monthly period, the work plan of upcoming activities and suggested several key recommendations to the main beneficiaries.
The main beneficiaries reiterated the importance of all five components of the project, and its main support to the overall strengthening of the fight against corruption, against terrorism and borders security. They found very well structured and quite beneficial the work plan of future activities including technical support, study visits, training events, as well as support to strategic planning and assistance with resource management. It was mentioned as of particular importance the need to be assisted by further developing the human recourse management in all main beneficiaries of PAMECA V.
Participants shared their highest praise for the collaboration with the project and the contribution provided.
The SCM members approved the first progress report and the work plan of upcoming activities.
