In the view of strengthening and spreading the knowledge on Anti-mafia new amendments, PAMECA V organized the fourth round of the training on this issue on 25 and 26 March in Tirana with the participation of 30 Albanian judges and prosecutors. The fourth round was organized as a joint activity with EURALIUS and in collaboration with the School of Magistrates as a follow up of the previous ones.
Independence of asset proceeding and criminal proceeding, investigative tools that can be used in an Anti-Mafia proceeding, problems deriving from the future split of competence, practical cases, Italian experience in the application of the anti-mafia law and preventive measures in the spirit of European court of Human Rights, were at the focus of this two days training.
It is worth mentioning that the discussions in the previous trainings showed that there is still a strong need of the district judges and prosecutors to get acquainted as much as possible with the new amendments to Anti-mafia. District judges and prosecutors will be involved for the first time in the assets proceeding so they need to deepen the knowledge on Anti-mafia new amendments to ensure a better understanding and hence a better implementation in practice when they will start to apply it.
