On 26 February 2020, PAMECA V held its Sixth Stakeholders Committee Meeting, with the participation of PAMECA V beneficiaries; the Ministry of Interior, Albanian State Police, General Prosecution Office and SPAK.
The meeting was attended by the French Ambassador to Albanian H.E Mrs Christina Vasak, the Austrian Ambassador to Albania H.E Mr Christian Steiner, representatives from the Italian Embassy, the EU Delegation to Albania, representatives of consortium members, relevant institutions such as School of Magistrates, Inter-institutional Maritime Operational Centre, Financial Investigation Unit, etc, and other International Projects of the Rule of Law in Albania.
This important meeting was co-chaired by the Deputy Minister of Interior Mrs Rovena Voda and the Team Leader of PAMECA V Mr Carlo D`Achille. Speakers of the event Mr Neritan Nallbati, Director of Professional Standards within ASP, Mr Kujtim Luli, Chief of Institutional Coordination and Studies Sector at the GPO, Mr Altin Dumani Prosecutor at SPAK, Mr Mario Mariani, Head of Cooperation at EUD and Mr Paolo Cestra, PAMECA V Project Leader addressed their remarks regarding the good cooperation with PAMECA V Project.
During the meeting, moderated by Mr D`Achille, the participants had the opportunity to be introduced to the progress of activities for the fifth reporting semester, August 2019 – January 2020 and the main activities of the next Work Plan, where PAMECA V will be involved in the upcoming sixth reporting period, namely February – July 2020.
The progress of the implemented activities provided by PAMECA V in its five areas of intervention, was praised by the Steering Committee Members. The Deputy Minister Voda, Mr Luli, and Mr Nallbati highly appreciated the activities carried out, the ad hoc response of the Project, the impact and result on the daily work of the trainees and involved structures, especially as regards capacity building activities, legal assistance, operational trainings, etc., focused not only in Tirana but also in other regions throughout the country. Moreover, the Steering Committee Members found very useful, beneficial and in accordance to their strategic and institutional objectives, the Sixth Work Plan activities.
PAMECA V will continue to support the MoI, ASP, GPO, SPAK and upcoming NBI, being close to their needs, objectives and institutional priorities.
At the end of this meeting, the Steering Committee Members approved the fifth Progress Report and the Sixth Work Plan.
