Training on Cybercrime delivered for 30 Prosecutors and Judicial Police Officers

Held on the 12th and 13th of March 2018, this training was designed to provide an overview of international legal framework on cybercrime, interpretations of the supposed lack of jurisdiction over the data held in servers in another country, the best practical ways for judicial authorities to receive subscriber, traffic and content data from service providers, protocols to draft rogatory letters,  methods for the acquisition of evidence from US IP Providers, bitcoins, encrypted currency as means of transactions.

The relevance the training topics had for the daily job of Albanian practitioners, altogether 30 Prosecutors and Judicial Police Officers became obvious during the question and answer sessions, during which, additional useful explanations on investigation techniques of cybercrime offences were provided by the 5 STEs.

The training which was moderated by Prosecutor LTE Mr. Carmine Pirozzoli, was foreseen in sub-activity 1.4.1 of PAMECA V 2nd Semester work plan.
