Training on Operational and Intervention Techniques of Police

From the 21st to 23rd of September 2015, Vittorio Aloisi delivered a course to 15 police officers from Public Order and Traffic Police in the Security Academy of Police. The aim of the training was how to respond to emergency cases and breach of public order in line with EU standards and best practices.

The training which was a combination of theory and practice lasted for three days and the emphasis was to take care of their own safety when performing their tasks, but also of the safety of citizens and of the target.

Concrete proposals and techniques were provided on how to improve police’s interventions methods in many different dangerous cases and public disorder according with the EU best practices.

Theory was followed by exercises out in the field on: safe identification of possible suspect, checking of persons (suspect), vehicle searching, handcuffing safely, and personal search in safety, Police block-point, Police check-point, etc. with the final aim to work safely against possible threat following the European standard.
