Basic Training for the Under Cover Agents of the Special Operational Task Force

PAMECA V organized a one week training for newly recruited Undercover agents. The trainees were attending their first training in that area. The two assigned British experts, who had already delivered trainings for Albanian Undercover team, focused on practical exercises and mainly on the credibility of legends each trainee would use during the assignment. Confirmed Undercover agents have been used as roles players for simulated appointments with criminals and operations related to a buy-bust case and to drug and weapons purchases.

In addition to that, a Prosecutor from the Serious Crime Prosecution Office together with the chief of Handlers unit respectively made a presentation about the legal framework and about the relationship between the Undercover agents and their handlers. Some of the trainees were introduced for the first time with the Undercover police work, which is not like other policing activities. Therefore, the training was a chance given to them to understand if they were suitable for such kind of activity.
