On 5 March 2019, PAMECA V organized the fourth Stakeholders Committee meeting, which gathered together PAMECA V beneficiaries and respective stakeholders. This meeting was co-chaired by Mr Carlo D`Achille, Team Leader of the project, Mr Francesco Torcoli, Programme Manager EUD, Mrs Rovena Voda, Deputy Minister of MoI, Mr Adnan Xholi, Director of Judicial Services at the General Prosecution Office, Mrs Aida Hajnaj, Deputy General Director of ASP, and Mrs Donika Prela, Head of Serious Crimes Prosecution Office. The meeting was also attended by representatives of implementing partner institutions.
The Team Leader presented the third Progress Report for August 2018 – January 2019, implementation period, and the fourth Work Plan of activities for upcoming semester, February – July 2019.
More specifically, Mr D`Achille, presented all kind of assistance delivered to the beneficiaries related the five components of the project (fight against organized crime, antiterrorism, integrated border management, strategic planning & ICT and human resource management), namely, trainings & workshops, advisory support, conferences, study visits in MS and practical exercises in the field for police officers and other employees of the ASP, judicial police officers, judges, prosecutors, students of Security Academy, focusing not only Tirana but also the regions.
The beneficiaries appreciated the delivered assistance and the collaboration with PAMECA V. Representatives of main beneficiary`s institutions stated that it is very important to them the support provided to increase the capacities not only in Tirana but in the regions as well, the beneficiaries found very useful and close to their needs the work plan of activities. Furthermore, they appreciated the recommendations provided by the project to better tackle the challenges ahead.
The meeting ended with a common agreement to a close and fruitful collaboration between the parties in the common path of implementation of the project. The Project will continue to assist even on ad-hoc requests as much as possible.
