Training on “Preliminary planning of the investigation process; methods and strategies for collecting, managing and using effectively the criminal information”

PAMECA V delivered training on “Preliminary planning of the investigation process; methods and strategies for collecting, managing and effectively using the criminal information”, in Berat. Fifteen judicial police officers working in Berat, Vlore and Fier Local Police Directorates, attended the training activity.

The training program included information on characteristics of organized criminal groups, organized criminal activities, best European practices from special law enforcement structures to fight organized crime and their competencies, the constitution of special law-enforcement structures in Albania to fight organized crime, effective methods and strategies to organize the preliminary investigation process for gathering information and evidence and for developing the investigation plan. Special attention was dedicated to the lawful telecommunication and environmental interception. Furthermore, several concrete prosecuted cases were shared by PAMECA international expert and participants, focusing on the investigative methods used and their usefulness. A critical point discussed amongst participants was the decentralization of interception.

The Director of Berat LPD, Mr Hasan Ahmetaj, was present at the opening part of the training activity, addressing his welcoming remarks and extending his thanks to PAMECA V project for the continuous collaboration and contribution it is providing to the Albanian State Police. This training activity was delivered by PAMECA V international expert on organized crime, Mr Maurizio Mirarchi.
