In view of strengthening and spreading the knowledge on Anti-mafia new amendments, PAMECA V, in close cooperation with EURALIUS V and School of Magistrate, organised the sixth round on this issue on the 18 and 19 of November in Shkodra.
The training workshop convened 41 judges and prosecutors from the districts of Shkodra, Lezha, Kurbin and Mat. Districts will for the first time be involved in carrying out asset proceedings; therefore, it is crucial to them to deepen their knowledge in order to ensure a better understanding and implementation in practice of this law. The training covered several topics mainly concerning the independence of criminal proceedings and assets proceedings, investigative tools that be used in Anti-Mafia proceedings, issues deriving from the future split of competences, Italian experience in the application of Anti-Mafia law and preventive measures in view of European Court of Human Rights, which were widely discussed during this two days training.
The Workshop served to exchange views and practical experience on the problems to be encountered during the implementation of Anti-Mafia Law and it was followed by a highly professional and interactive technical discussion.
