Handover ceremony of ASP Integrity Plan
The handover ceremony of 300 copies of ASP Integrity Plan and Action Plan 2020 – 2021 was organised today in the premises of State Police. During the course of one-year, PAMECA V and Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF) has closely worked with representatives of Ministry of Interior and Albanian State Police to prepare this document that would be useful to police officers to raise awareness on integrity related issues.
During the opening remarks, PAMECA V Team Leader, Mr Carlo D’Achille pointed out the importance of this Document that would also serve as guideline in the daily work of police structures involved in integrity related issues. This publication will help police officers to identify organisation threats and set mechanisms to handle risks on daily basis.
The publication of ASP Integrity Plan was highly appreciated by General Director of State Police, Mr Ardi Veliu, who emphasised that this Document constitutes an important step to advice and instruct police officers in an uncompromised fight against corruption and illegitimacy. This publication is a manifestation of the ongoing efforts of State Police to increase public trust in Police Organisation.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Interior, Mr Julian Hodaj, who foregrounded the fact that this Documents brings about tangible results to daily policing, and it strongly aims to improve police services to Albanian citizens. The Integrity Plan gives rise to the transparency and straightforwardness of various areas that are mostly exposed to corruption, and it focuses on an efficient solutions.
At the end of the ceremony, Mr D’Achille reiterated the further commitment of PAMECA V Project to assist central and local level police structures on the implementation of ASP Integrity Plan and Action Plan 2020 – 2021.
