Workshop on First Aid in the Closed Reception Center of irregular migrants in Karrec
From the 22nd to 23rd of June, the Integrated Border Management (IBM) component of PAMECA IV carried out a workshop in the Closed Reception Center of irregular migrants in Karrec. The purpose of this workshop was to train the staff of Karrec on the first aid in order to respond to unfortunate events (heart attacks, suicidal attempts, hunger strike, etc). In this training a total of 24 staff were trained, both civilian and uniformed police officers. During this workshop the National Short Term Expert (STE) trained the staff on various infectious diseases (the way they spread and how the staff may protect themselves with some very simple steps). At the end of the training the STE delivered a report where further recommendations were made with a special focus on the improvement of infrastructure.
