Under Activity 2.9 of the PAMECA IV work plan, assistance was provided to the newly recruited staff of the Internal Control Service, who attended a Basic Investigation training which took place from the 17th to the 19th of February 2014.
The training, which was delivered by the LTE on Organized Crime, Mr. Gilles Locchi focused on theoretical steps of an investigation as well as on practical tailor-made study cases on corruption and narcotics. The mixing of theory and practice during the training, made the participants very much involved in group work and encouraged discussion.
Participants in the training were presented with a real case involving investigation of criminal assets by the Director of Economic and Financial Crime in the General Directorate of Albanian State Police, Mr. Bledar Çeliku. This presentation was particularly interesting for the participants and brought up many questions on Albanian procedures, which were promptly answered by Mr. Çeliku.
